The John Connell Local Authority Award is the bedrock of the ceremony and recognises services, campaigns and schemes which provide creative solutions to noise control. Celebrating examples of best-practice in planning, community co-operation and noise pollution education, this award is prestigious and inspirational in the noise abatement arena.
Controlling excessive and unwanted noise in the community is one of the many tough responsibilities of the Environmental Health Practitioner. Local Authorities, through the dedication of their Environmental Health Teams, often demonstrate imaginative and sustainable initiatives in the management of noise issues.
John Connell Local Authority Award 2010 - Applications are now being accepted for consideration, and are free to enter. The closing date for submissions is October 4th 2010.
