A key aim of the Noise Abatement Society is to help find effective solutions to noise nuisance to improve and protect the aural landscape for the public benefit and that of wildlife and sea life. The Society recognises the pioneering role that industry plays in investing and supporting quiet technologies.
To this end, the Society investigates and raises awareness of new quiet technologies and innovations. For example, pioneering the Piek programme in the UK, developed in Holland, to promote and establish standards for quiet equipment measurement and manufacture.
Our Sound Advice programme identifies and promotes quiet technologies, products and services to help industry underpin its commitment to the environment and help create a quieter aural landscape for the benefit of all.
